Investments and grants
With high street banks having strict policies and guidelines for lending, businesses are now looking at alternatives. The alternatives can vary from private equity to local angel investors wanting to help out businesses that have a good idea but are struggling to get that idea to market in order to receive a European grant.
Investment usually takes the form of shares in the Company. It will be governed by an Investment Agreement setting out the rights of the investors and will provide the investor with certain warranties. Our commercial solicitors have years of experience in negotiating these Investments Agreements on behalf of the Company (and the investor) and are often recommended to act in these circumstances.
