New partners on the scene
Ironmonger Curtis has appointed two new partners.
Anna Cattee, 30, who qualified in 2011, specialises in company and commercial law. She has undertaken multi-million pound mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-structuring and has expertise in commercial drafting such as shareholder agreements, terms and conditions and distribution agreements.
Anna is also one of just three Notary Publics operating in Sheffield. This role is the oldest in the legal profession and focusses on authenticating documents and certifying signatures for use abroad. There are only 1,000 in the UK.
Anna said: “The services of notaries are needed more and more as greater numbers of people decide to live and work abroad or get married overseas. UK companies doing business across the globe also need our services. Our job is to verify identification and check and certify documents as genuine so that they can be validly used abroad for everything from court proceedings to new employment.”
Stacey Pocock has 18 years of experience and brings her expertise in dealing with disputes for business owners and private clients to the Ironmonger Curtis litigation team. Stacey’s legal career includes appointments both in private practice and in-house legal departments of nationally recognised PLCs. She has expertise in dealing with a wide range of matters including debt recovery, construction disputes and business ownership and management disputes.
“I am delighted to have joined Ironmonger Curtis,” said Stacey. “I was attracted to the firm’s excellent reputation and because it has such a wide spread of expertise and services to offer to clients.”
